The castle scullery

The castle scullery
Exhibition devoted to the person of Bishop Ignacy Krasicki. A small, one-window room over the kitchen, made smaller in size by the flue duct. To the right of the window niche there was a circular hole, currently covered by the flooring; probably there was a lift here for dishes delivered straight from the kitchen – from here, they were taken to the dining room. The wall paintings come from different periods; they were exposed during maintenance works conducted in the years 1974-1977. In the lower part of the wall there are painted geometrical forms, in the upper – landscapes painted here at the time of Bishop Ignacy Krasicki. Ceiling decorated with a plant tendril motif.
